Little guy

I know I made it, but can someone tell that baby in the ticker up there to stop moving so darn close to the 1! LoL. This first birthday is going to be bittersweet. I'm glad we get to share it with friends and family.

Mommy's little helper

Already doing his chores :)

If I open the dishwasher Jack comes crawling as fast as he can to help me. Last time he showed up he was actually able to grab a plate and bowl and throw them on the floor. So, I'm not sure how much help he actually is, but it is sure cute.

Always something new

Jack, has started to stand in the middle of a room by himself. This is without pulling up on anything. It is very strange, I'll be doing something turn around and he's just standing there. Strange to see my little baby standing. I've encouraged him a little to walk to me, but no dice. He's still unsure to move his feet. He is getting much better at walking if you hold his hands. He thinks it is great to go back and forth between Zach and I. I'm not sure what this means in terms of when he'll be walking, but he seems to be learning at such a rapid pace now. Also, I was standing at the door telling Zach goodbye, I look to my left and there is Jackie crawling up the stairs! Guess it is time for those baby gates! He just loves to explore everything.

Sleep Update

We have started using the Ferber method to help Jack get to sleep. This is the fourth day, and maybe we are getting somewhere. Instead of waking 10 times in a night, maybe it is two or three. Poor little guy has had to give up a lot no night cuddles, no night nursing, and no getting in bed with mom and dad at 3:00 in the morning. So far he's been waking up in his own room. I've also had Zach, start getting up and helping me in the night. It is just too hard for Jack to see me (the food source) come in lay him down, and then walk away. He takes it a little better when Zach does it. It is hard to hear the screaming that comes from his room, but I know we are teaching him what he needs, and in the end he's getting more rest. He's going down for his naps better, and today he even napped for an hour and a half. Hopefully, it keeps up, but I don't expect miracles.

We love Fall!!

Jack and I played photo shoot today. I love pumpkins and everything Fall so I wanted to take some pictures. He loved checking out the pumpkins.

Product Review

I have found two new products that I must tell you about. I am constantly doing laundry, and even though it is my most hated job I am always trying new laundry products. Recently I have come across Tide with a Touch of Downy I have the clean breeze scent, and I think I might be sticking with this detergent for a while. It smells so good! The clothes come out of the dryer smelling and feeling great. Try it!
My other product is L'Oreal's new HIP products. I have this tenacious eye shadow. It is a great deep, rich color. The color lasts pretty nicely. I plan on trying the other stuff in the line as I am sure they are nice too.

Woohoo! We won!

We finally got to see a Chiefs game. We wore our Chiefs attire to church, and we got a few good natured comments. It was a good game. It looked bad in the beginning, but man did they turn it around in the end. I made Zach and Jack take a family pic. (Yes, I know there are two pics posted and it is all messed up. This is the only way I could get this picture posted.) After the game we trooped over to the Home Depot so I could get soil for my planter and flowers. Still proudly sporting our red we got a few more comments, LOL! Nobody does it better than a Chiefs fan!
