Life at 1572: Preparing for deployment

Preparing for deployment

Zachery will be leaving for Iraq at the end of the month. For security reasons I can't put the date on the blog. This will be his third tour. This one is a little different because he his usually gone by now. They have always left at the beginning of September. They couldn't get things figured out about who what going where. Now, they have everyone split into their groups, and it looks like they have things figured out. He will be going back to the same place he has been before. This is a relief because they base he goes to is generally secure. They are inside the wire building all of their stuff. They will be working so much harder this time though. Twelve plus hour days since they don't have as many guys to go back with them. They will be spread thin. I am hoping to keep busy for the next seven months. My plan is to go home to Missouri with Jack for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I might stay a little longer. If anyone would like to send a Marine a care package let me know, and I can give you the address.

Well I hope he has a safe deployment and the time flies by for you guys. I know how hard it is to say goodbye. Keep your chin up!

I also hope that the time passes very quickly, you know you are welcome to come here as well. I am hoping that maybe while you are in MO we can come see you. When you have a chance give me a call so I can get the address and other info from you.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that the next 7 months go really fast for you and Zach is back with you two.
