Life at 1572: Still Unpacking

Still Unpacking

I think I am going to be unpacking for weeks.  We are still getting settled into this house.  I asked Zach if it feels like home yet, and he said, "No, it is still filled with boxes.  It is just a place I sleep for now."  We are working on that slowly but surely.  I feel like a bomb went off in my house though.  I just keep telling myself one box at a time, one box at a time.  The only problem so far is this house seriously lacks any storage.  We are going from a home that had a huge walk in linen type closet, another regular linen closet, and a huge coat closet.  This house has ONE extra closet in the living room.  Where I am supposed to put my linens I am still trying to figure that out.  Mostly, everything is crazy because I have to wait to clear things out once a few rooms are finished in the basement.  That should be next week, hopefully.

Other than that things feel really great.  I am loving our town so far.  While there really isn't anything to do around here there are still plenty of stores, and places to eat.  Everything is really close by.  This is all pretty good for me because I liked the small town feel that we had at Miramar.  I can really feel a much slower pace here than in San Diego.  I might be bored out of my mind soon, but right now it feels nice.  I am hoping to have half a lazy Sunday tomorrow, and I might be able to get some pictures up here.

Hey just hang in there, it will all come together! That dresser can surely hold some sheets & blankets when you can get it! You will figure it out. Kinda hard to work on everything at once! But I think you better help Zach downstairs while you still have him there everyday! Besides you love to paint! You're good at it, don't forget!
Try to enjoy, it's a very nice place.
