Life at 1572: Trip to Julian, Ca

Trip to Julian, Ca

Today, we took a day trip to Julian. It is a nice drive up there. A long curvy road that might make you think you are actually in Missouri instead of California. The road is lined with ranch after ranch cows, sheep, and chickens. Hundreds and hundreds of chickens, boy did that stink! We walked around for most of the afternoon. There was a very long line for this bakery called Moms. We didn't have a clue what it was like, but we figured if it had a line that long they must be good. So we bought some pies. We ate an apple crumb slice on the go, and it was very yummy! We ate some bbq for lunch, and looked around the shops. Most of the places were too small and crowded for a stroller so we will moby Jack next time we go. Zach, and I took turns going into the stores, and as I waited with Jack he talked and flirted with every baby that went by. It was cute to watch. All in all it was a nice crisp day. We may return next weekend for the apple festival.

It sounds like it was a wonderful Fall daytrip! This is my favorite time of year and I know it is yours too Amy. Hard to imagine all those farms in southern California!
