Life at 1572: Frustrations and Friday Five

Frustrations and Friday Five

Things are busy as ever around here. Still trying to catch up on the laundry, and get ready for company. They arrive tomorrow. Very frustrated because I just got a courtesy call from Jack’s daycare telling me he has been crying since I left. Then they add you don’t have to pick him up, but we wanted you to know. Gee thanks. I can go get him and relieve you of a screaming kid, or leave him there and feel like a crap mother. It just drives me nuts that they can’t control the situation. I worked with kids all the time I know what it is like, and yes my kid can be difficult, but you figure it out. You get through it, and you help the kid get through it too. It is your job. If I was at work they couldn’t call me hoping I’d just come pick him up they would have to figure out how to deal with it. Ugh! Sorry, it just frustrates me, and makes me feel bad for Jack. He has to go though to be social, and get away from mom for a minute or two.

I am going to try something new called Friday Five. I have been meaning to do it for a few Fridays but can’t seem to get to it. I’m going to list 5 questions, and you answer them however you would like to in the comments. You can answer as many or as few as you would like. Just please play along it is fun to read the comments. I have faith in you. You can do it!

Summer Friday Five
1. What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?
2. What is your best summer memory?
3. If you could go on vacation anywhere this summer where would it be?
4. Do you have a favorite summer food?
5. Do you do anything special during the summer that you don’t do the rest of the year?

Have a fantasitc weekend!

1.Spend time outside enjoying the longer days.

2.My best summer memories would have to be at my Grandma's house when I was little. We would play outside for hours swimming, and running around. Not a care in the world.

3.I would go to Washington D.C. I really want to go there.

4. I just love all of the fresh vegetables. I plan to hit up the farmer's market soon.

5. Nothing too special. We tend to grill out more, and I enjoy that.

2. Hmmm... Lots of summer memories I love, but I go with one with Amy in it. That would be going to Branson with you, Nancy, and Lisa. We had a blast!

3. Probably Disney World. I just cant get enough of that place!

4. Watermelon

5. We grill out more too, and maybe swimming.

1. Taking walks on a not so hot evening.

2. I would say playing outside until way after dark, playing hide and seek, catching lightning bugs, waiting for a big rig to drive by so we could make funny images on the side of our house from the headlights of the trucks.. silly stuff but good memories.

3. I would love to go to Tuscany and see their culture, spend an entire month just soaking it all up!

4. I do love watermelon and cool pasta salads.

5. Nothing special, just leave windows open, walk, sit on patio..... nice quiet times.

Tough for both you and Jack. You will both get used to it.
GREAT IDEA?!!!

1. Many things in the summer. Spend time outside and try to do things with family.

2. My best is when I was little. Grandma Hoffman would come home from American War Mothers every summer and we would all, and there were 16+ of us, go on a picnic somewhere. First we would visit someplace historical in the city.

3. Bahama's or someplace tropical.

4. 2 Fresh tomato's and cucumbers

5. Try to go to the Missouri State Fair.

This is great. Love it.

Love you all

1. Relaxing in the pool.

2. As a kid, walking the old railroad line to my cousins house and just having a great time with them.
Then I also spent a great summer with my Aunt and Uncle in Lebanon to babysit their two kids and I have to say it was probably the best summer of my life!!!!

3. That's a hard, one I want to go to so many places. So I'll say a tropical island would be pretty awesome this summer.

4. Fresh garden tomatoes and cucumbers and good ole corn on the cob, fresh from a crop farmers fields!!! Were lucky enough to know some people that share their corn with us.

5. Fairs, Swimming, grilling out more often, eating out on the deck as a family during the evening.
