400th Post

I was going to try to post this yesterday for Ten on Tuesday, but of course that didn't happen.  So instead you get random things on Wednesday.

• This is my 400th post on this blog.  While, I had hoped to take the time to write something meaningful for my 400th post, I just haven't had the time.  I will say I really do enjoy blogging.  Despite the fact that I fall away from it sometimes, I am glad I have kept with it.

• We are still settling into our house, and life here in Illinois.  There are still a couple of kitchen boxes that have to be gone through, and there is still the garage to sort out.  Not much to do around here, but so far that has been okay.

• I have been reminding myself that we need to get outside, and enjoy the rest of summer.  Summer is actually going to leave us, and we are going to have to suffer experience a winter here.  

• I have started cooking from scratch.  Something I have wanted to do for a long time.  There are few things that I don't cook from scratch, but this means no more orange glow powder, or boxed handy meals.  I see why people do grab the boxed stuff even if it is filled with junk ingredients, because it is easy and fast.  Cooking from scratch definitely takes more time and work.  I have enjoyed going through my cook books and finding new things for my family to try, and so far everything has been a hit.  

• I am attempting couch to 5k again.  I have a love hate relationship with running.  Last time I made it to week 4 before  I got sick and got off track.  It is still just my first week, and I  can't promise I will actually finish it this time, but so far so good. 

• I found a wonderful preschool for Jack.  He starts in a few weeks.  I will be sure to tell you more about it soon.
