Life at 1572: The King of Pop, Swine Flu, and Disney

The King of Pop, Swine Flu, and Disney

It has been a sad week for celebrities. It is very sad about Michael Jackson’s death. He was an icon to so many people. I sat and listened to a few of his songs yesterday afternoon. I had forgotten how much I enjoy his music.

We have a bit of a scare around here. A few of the guys at Zach’s work have the swine flu. It seems to be spreading. I thought all of this was over. We are doing tons of hand washing, and at the first sign of a sniffle we will be at the doctor. It is kind of scary because Miramar is so small it could really spread if people don’t take the right precautions. Not much is going on around here. We’ve been spending too many days cooped up in the house. I need to get outside and enjoy the summer.

Monday I am going to try to get into the Karen Russell photography workshop. There are 725+ people waiting to get into this class. Registration starts at 9 am and the courses sell out in seconds. Please say a little prayer that I get in. The courses we can register for are in September-November, and then another one in January-March. If I don’t get in then I will have to wait for more to be scheduled. That is a long time to wait! I have two chances the early registration is on Monday where she is filling 75% of the spaces, and then she’s filling the last 25% on the 13th. I’m crossing my fingers!

We had this made at Disneyland. We had to wait to get it back from the framers. We had wanted something like this done for a while, and they do them at the zoo only with animals. The Disney characters just made this more special since we love Disney.

1. I get most of my local news from our local news stations.

2. I read the national news on the internet, or ABC nightly news.

3. My mom seems to know the most about everyone in the family. I may live 1500 miles away, but I might as well live next door because I know everything that goes on around there.

4. Well, my home is my work, and typically I'm the one that knows what's going on around here. Haha!

5. I like to keep up on current events around the country, and I'm ashamed to admit I love me some celebrity gossip. I get most of my info. from the yahoo home page.

1. I get most of my local news from the local news station on TV or online.

2. I read the national news on CNN most of the time.

3. Well I think I know alot of what is going on with my family as I keep in contact via email with lots of them.

4. Well I would say if it isn't attached to paperwork then I don't know what is going on!

5. I like to know what is going on in the world, but really dont care much for the hollywood stuff. More important stuff going on than what is happening in a stars life.

Oh Amy, I am thinking of a fringy short look with flips on the side and back little shorter than shoulder length.

Swine flu hasn't hit the top yet.
I think a vaccine has been developed or close of being done.

Pic of Disney is very good & different. I like it.

It seems like there is a hotline when a news flash hits around here.

1. Local papers and listening to the radio station while I am working.

2. Yahoo/CNN/and the nightly news when I see it.

3. My mom and Ronda.

4. That is a tough one, I think when I am in the office on Tuesday's several different people bring different news my way. Not sure anyone in particular has all the information.

5. I'll admit I do like to keep up with the Hollywood scene, so we get People magazine in the mail. It usually has alot of current information about recent happenings of some of my favorite stars in it.

Did you get in? I just started the workshop last week. I got in because of a glitch in the system and it closed the registration before the session filled, then she emailed everyone and said you can still register. I hopped on and got in. I'm so happy I did! Good luck getting in and staying away from H1N1!
